Collaborative Rebranding Project
For our coursework, we rebranded Tropical Hut to better align its mission, vision, and values with the customer experience. With most branches near colleges and corporate offices, the brand has become less accessible to older loyal customers, and its tagline, “Sarap na Babalik-balikan,” no longer reflects its performance. The rebrand aims to create a clearer, more consistent connection with all customers.

The logo draws inspiration from retro signages and features an elongated, non-circular shape. Its design elements include wavy lines, a palm tree and island, and a hut or bun, reflecting the brand’s tropical and nostalgic identity. The color palette and overall style aim to capture the warmth, fun, and retro charm of Tropical Hut while keeping it familiar to its audience. The logo was created through a collaborative design process among the members of the group.
